Seems to work well. Only issue is a I get is an exception when the Grid is placed within a GridLayout but that isn't a showstopper for us.

The control has plenty of bugs, does not work with Windows Mobile and their release cycle is so far behind the Xamarin release cycle... I cannot use it at this point.

Hello. I am using Devexpress-grid in a page which is displayed in a MasterDetailPage.

Normally, when I change selected item on MainPage, it will create new instance of a page and display on MasterDetailPage, and a instance of previous page will be cleaned by GC. But, with the page that I include Devexpress_grid, this instance is not cleaned, and each time I choose that page, the number of instance is increased. I would like to know how can I release the old instance?

So much had been done but it's still useless. Are you providing a grid for mobile app or just to show how complex your grid is ?Get rid of 90% useless function off may be make this control really usefull

ScrollToRow doesn't work on Windows Phone Version and dosen't work on every version when after assigned ItemsSource. RowResizing doesn't work when scroll to more than one page of rows. just a toy control.

The component is simply great. It has all the core features you would expect, so I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a cross platform grid. That being said, there are a few suggestions I hope the DevExpress team will take into account:

  • Provide a way to manually sort and filter the data. I am using the grid to show data loaded from a server and it is very unlikely that the user has loaded all the data. Being able to plug into the sorting logic, I can call my server with sort/filter information and populate the grid with data that is sorted and filtered.
  • Provide a IsRefreshing/IsLoading bindable property. Currently, the refreshing/loading indicators are shown while the RefreshCommand/LoadMoreCommand are executing, which means that if we're doing async calls, the UI mistakenly indicates that the load has completed. It would be better if we had a property we can bind and manually control the hiding of the refresh/load more indicators.
  • Provide a way to customize the column picker colors.
  • Provide a way to localize the build-in strings (e.g. Sort ascending/descending, show column picker, etc.).

Hi all, Just wanted to say I've been using this component for a month or so and I have to say it's excellent! There's been a few initial (minor) bugs but the guys at DevExpress have been very responsive with fixes and forum answers on their site so would thoroughly recommend this to anyone needing a grid cross-platform.

I bound the grid to object hierarchy but tapping the item does not give any break down (Order to OrderLines)

Johannes, it is a Xamarin Forms thing, not standalone Android component. Said that one can still integrate it into an Android app I think. Besides you have a "getting started" link above.

Looks quite interesting and would love to try it out, but I don't get it to work with Xamarin in Visual Studio (2013). Is it possible to post any small example how to get it to work with android activity linked to an activity? Thank you in advance.
